Dear Friends,
It is a great honor for me to be elected as National President of JCBulgaria. I am really grateful for your support.
1999 is a very strange year. It is not only the end of the century but also the end of a millennium. How we are going to face the new millennium it all depends on ourselves. Lets remember the mission of JCI to contribute for the positive change - the positive change in everyone as an individual and respectively in the society as a whole. Only a person who has reached a high level of its personal development will think of the societys problems and how to solve them. And only a person who believes in himself will look for ways to achieve his own development.
Let 1999 be the year for us to believe in ourselves. The time we live in is difficult for everyone. Our problems may be different, but when young people gather, like we do, there are always things we could do and learn together, ways to help ourselves.
Believe in yourself, dear friends. Let us believe in our own strengths and we will together make 1999 a significant year for JCBulgaria.
Next year will be very important for us. It may be the first year of our full affiliation. I am conscious about my responsibility. During 1998 JCBulgaria really grew up. We established three new LOMs, recruited many new members and we really started working as an organization. After one very successful year the next one should be even more successful.
The key goals we plan to achieve are:
To make JCBulgaria better known in the society, to create a stronger image, and to expand the scope of our work.
To expand the organization while keeping the interest and the motivation of every single member
To improve the image of JCBulgaria on international level
We will organize many training seminars with local and international coaches, start some social projects, and make our NBN part of the IBN, as we have stated in our Plan of Action. I am convinced that the establishment of JC Bulgarias office, with the kind assistance of I & K Co, will largely improve the communications efficiency.
I am counting on the elected Board for next year. Let us believe in ourselves, in our potential and to make together 1999 successful for JC Bulgaria and of course for every one of us.

Get aquatinted with our project
Ill be with you
This is the first project of LOM Haskovo. We are very proud that for a very short period of time we could transform our ideas into a project that aims to help the handicapped persons in our City. This initiative will provide them with a special center for information, services and consultations. There will be established a special database that will include every handicapped person with his/hers disease. This information could be used for improving the quality of the aid given to those people form the Government institutions, NGOs and foreign and domestic humanitarian aid supplies. We believe that we have the strength, desire and the abilities to implement this project into reality. This project was presented for financial aid from Fund Rehabilitation in the Ministry Council and we are awaiting the result, for which we have the informal approval.
The projects name is Ill be with you and I am sure that in near future you will hear about it. As soon as it becomes reality we are ready to spread it further in the other four LOMs of JC Bulgaria.
The First International Training Seminar
in Instambul, Turkey
I was the representative of JC Bulgaria at this forum organized from JC Turkey form 17 to 20 September 1998. This event gathered 110 representatives from 14 countries from around the world. I received the warmest hospitality from my friends from JC Turkey with whom, at that time, we have already go through a training weekend in Haskovo. Seven foreign and eight Turkish trainers held the training. It was a very beneficial experience after my PRIME graduation at The European Conference in Monaco. The precious information and advice I came back with from the training sessions, I hope to put into practice in my LOM.
I will share the experience I had with my fellow members and I am convinced that there will be participants from JCBulgaria at the Second International Training Seminar 1999.

The 4th International Business Summit
Vienna, Austria 29th - 3rd 1998
The Summit organized by JC Austria was an unforgettable event in my life. Although this was not my first visit to this magnificent city it turned out to be the most pleasant and beneficial. The friendly atmosphere helped us to derive the best results from the meetings and the presentations held.
The aim of the Summit: to gather business oriented members of Junior Chamber and to assist them in working together was achieved mainly because of the quality of the organization on behalf of JC Austria. The time spent in Vienna is precious for me because it gave me the benefit to learn more about the business opportunities in Austria and around the world through Junior Chamber.
Eight delegates presented JC Bulgaria at this forum from three LOMs. Every one of them will tell you the same: It is unbelievable, the work we witnessed, the results achieved and the fun we had. The events organized from our kind host, JC Austria, were held on a very high level and were so well organized that we managed for some five days to do business, to find new friends and to get to now Vienna and Austria.
It is my personal believe that all members of JC Bulgaria who took part at this event came back full of new ideas not only about business but also about all the other opportunities that Junior Chamber gives.
Denitza Guentcheva
President LOM Sofia 1999
I would like to tell you about the training we had in LOM Haskovo on 22 and 23 of August with trainers from LOM Instambul, Turkey.
We have chosen a complex, used also for meetings of the Local Council, which is situated in a very picturesque district near Haskovo. I would rather not share with you the difficulties when organizing such an event. Personally for me it was the concern whether the members from the LOM will be interested, will they take part in the training or will they be only mere listeners.
Here I would like to give the earned credit to the trainers from Instambul: Riza Kadalar and Gamze Adjar. They have prepared the training on Team building really good. It was through the change of work and games in the room or in the open air that they kept the interest of the participants. After the second game I noticed that flame in the eyes that shows that people are eager to learn more and are really interested what comes next.
The six hours of the training elapsed very fast. And it was after the feedback that we gathered that we noticed our tiredness. It was the tiredness one feels after finishing a good job - light and pleasant. During dinner we continued discussing the training remembering some funny situations and arguing whether it was possible to do the same tasks better.
The Turkish trainers were also very pleased with the participation and the mutual work of the participants. In fact they have shared their experience with Kim Castelano and it was a wonderful surprise for me to be personally greeted by him in Vienna during the International Business Summit.
We parted with our Turkish guests on 23rd in the afternoon receiving their promise to assist us in all sorts of trainings and to continue working together for mutual training forums of LOM Instambul and LOM Haskovo.
We still keep from that meeting the feeling of Junior Chamber and the belief that it really brings positive change.
